Bio: Stayson is in his fifth year at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, Ariz., but Hawaii will always be his home. Having been born and raised on the island of Oahu, he ventured to NAU where he graduated in May 2011 with his BSEd in secondary education mathematics and a minor in Japanese. Following graduation, Stayson remained in Flagstaff and is now a graduate assistant in media relations at NAU. In his position, he handles the daily media coverage of the women’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis programs. His other sports writing experience includes working for The Lumberjack as the primary women’s soccer and women’s basketball beat reporter for three years. When he’s not working, Stayson enjoys watching, playing, talking and debating sports with his friends and also catching the occasional movie.
